01
What cookies are.
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. They allow a site to remember things about your visit, such as your preferences or your login state. Other small storage mechanisms (such as local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB) work similarly and are covered by this policy where relevant.
Under the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), most non-essential cookies require your consent before being set. Cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you have requested (for example, security cookies that protect a form submission) are exempt from prior-consent requirements.
02
The cookies we use.
We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to function and remain secure. We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, behavioural tracking, retargeting, social-media integration, or any other non-essential purpose. Because the only cookies set are strictly necessary, we do not display a consent banner. We want to be transparent about what is stored, regardless.
The following cookies may be set when you visit the Site:
| Name |

__cf_bm |
Cloudflare |
Bot management. Distinguishes real visitors from automated traffic, which protects the Site against scraping and abuse. |

cf_clearance |
Cloudflare |
Records that a visitor has successfully passed Cloudflare's security check, to avoid repeated challenges within the validity window. |
Up to 1 year |
Session-only cookies on api.web3forms.com |
Web3Forms |
Form submission delivery. These are first-party to api.web3forms.com (not to clarentlabs.com) and exist only for the moment of submission. |
Session only |
If a Cloudflare feature or other piece of infrastructure introduces a new strictly necessary cookie, the table above will be updated. We do not maintain a record of historical changes here; the "Last updated" date at the top of the page tracks the most recent revision.
03
Third-party cookies and embeds.
We do not embed third-party content that would set tracking cookies — for example, we do not include YouTube or Vimeo video embeds in their default tracking mode, X / Twitter widgets, Disqus comments, social-media "share" buttons, or live-chat widgets.
The third parties listed in the table above (Cloudflare and Web3Forms) set cookies only for the infrastructural purposes described. We do not allow any third party to set cookies on clarentlabs.com for advertising or tracking purposes.
04
How to manage cookies.
You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, delete cookies after they are set, or notify you before a cookie is set. If you do this, parts of the Site (in particular form submissions, which depend on Cloudflare's security checks to complete) may not work as intended.
Instructions specific to common browsers are kept up to date by the browser vendors:
You can also use private or incognito browsing modes, which typically discard cookies at the end of each session.
05
Changes to this policy.
If we add any cookies that are not strictly necessary — for example, if we introduce analytics, attribution, or marketing tools — we will update this policy and, where required by law, we will ask for your consent through a consent banner before any non-essential cookies are set. We will not begin setting such cookies until you have given that consent.
If we make a material change to this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect it. Minor wording changes that do not change the substance of the policy may be made without notice.
